Blog Bang Blogging Project: Need Participants

Sunday, May 20th, 2007

I need 20-25 blogs to write 10 tips about blogging. Your blog should be about web development, seo, webdesign, web, etc. Your blog rank doesn’t matter.
That post will then be linked from a post on http://neonscent.com, and will hopefully create a “bang” where everyone Diggs and stumbles that page, which will have the 20-25 blog urls there.
The blogs will be randomly picked, and selected participants will be given further instructions. Leave your email, name, site name, and site url in the comments area to apply.
This will be aimed to make the front page of Digg! ;)

Reader Question: How Do You Get RSS Feed Without Getting WordPress?

How Do You Get RSS Feed Without Getting WordPress?
-Olivia

RSS Feed is something everyone can get, with or without WordPress. But with WordPress, you get an automatic feed generated for you, whereas if you make your own RSS feed without WordPress, then you would have to update your feed manually every time you update your blog.
When you have your feed made (the extension should be .xml), register an account at FeedBurner and make yourself a feed page. Put some kind of Subscribe To My Feed on your page, and there you have a feed that everyone can subscribe at!

Well, you have my e-mail address. I’m not really sure why but you have it. Mind sending me a link though, I would really apperciate it in return. I mean, I did give someone my e-mail for no apparent reason.

Beware

Simon Hicks requested to advertise for Insura insurance company(and two more insurance companies), he promised to pay after one month but failed to pay.

Would you trust an insurance company which even denies to pay the advertising fee? Leave a comment.

He’ve just done the most stupid thing an insurer can do - to make others lose confidence in the company! If others do not trust the insurance company there is no point running it at the first place since people expect you to pay them the amount they should get if anything goes wrong.

Making Money With Post Level Text Link Ads

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

Post Level Text Link Ads started private beta testing last month, and now, its new service has begun. Many of you know Text Link Ads, but do you know Post Level Text Link Ads?
Post Level Text Link Ads lets Wordpress users earn money from their account by selling individual text link ads on each post. To activate the ads, you will need to download the latest version of the Wordpress plugin.
The ad will go under the post that the advertiser has bought.

Each Post Level TLA will:

  • Be exclusive to one Advertiser.
  • Allow Advertisers to have a full 80 character title and 150 letter description.
  • Be positioned directly at the end of top posts making it ideal for click throughs.
  • Each ad will be on a single page only.

The plugin will determine the most popular posts on your blog and add them to the TLA marketplace.
To qualify for Post Level Text Link Ads, you will need to sign up for Text Link Ads.

Oh, I didn’t know they had released this. I am not a supporter of the whole paid to blog thing, infact I hate it, so kinda disappointed..might have to stop pimping them so much lol

Alicia- WordPress is a very good blogging tool– I recommend you switching. It has recently been upgraded and lots of plugins are useful with it. :)
