Be yourself! Be honest! Be real! Be opinionated!
Be yourself! Be honest! Be real! Be opinionated! It’s your blog afterall. And be anonymous (safety first)! Don’t try to imitate another “popular” blogger’s style and don’t look at sitemeter all the time or try to cater to the “masses” in order to get “popular” or gain a readership. If you do, you’ll become a slave to other’s whims and you won’t be yourself anymore.
-Spit Out the Cat
This again, builds your character; how much do you want your character to be built or revealed? Do you want readers to know the real “you”?

It is true that a blogger should remain true to himself/herself as much as possible. Good advice.

Good one. But you also have to overcome your fears. :D

I’m always intrigued by the differences between our easily-edited online “personalities,” and the person we believe ourselves to be, and how others see us in real life.
Would these different aspects of ourselves recognize each other at the grocery store?

Angie- Haven’t seen you for a while! Still good? ;)
Personalities can be faked easily online, and when online, responses can be thought over for a while, but in reality, you only have seconds to minutes to think of a response. And to think of some people who are shy!
