Google Buys FeedBurner; Adsense in Feeds?

Remember FeedBurner, the RSS Feed management company? Google now owns it for $100 million cash. It previously started as a rumor, confirmed by Michael Arrington.
Now that Google owns FeedBurner, it would make sense for them to use FeedBurner’s users for Adsense Ads in Feeds instead of starting a whole new campaign. (Adsense For Feeds)

I think it would be a good idea for Adsense to also be in feeds; there would be more monetization chances for bloggers. (and Google expands yet again.) However, some people subscribe to feeds only because there are no ads. Would we be driving away regular visitors by insterting Adsense in feeds?

teddY- Google’s already beta testing the RSS feed ads, unfortunately. (https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=20012)
It worries me a little. There was a loophole in the Google database a while back, where you can see everyone’s personal information. But it was fixed 7 hours later.

Hmmm I hope that Google doesn’t incorporate Adsense into RSS feeds because by doing that it will defeat the entire purpose of creating RSS feeds at the first place - they are meant to provide advertisement-free and unobstructed view of the latest content of a website / blog and not as a medium of advertisement. I hope Google people realises this, or not hell will just break loose I think since many people rely on RSS feeds (and they use it because it’s ad-free!).

In the recent years Google has acquired many services ranging from blogger to youtube and other small internet services which we may not notice. Does that worry you Grace? It sort of worries me because there are sayings that google actually use the information collected from the usage of their services for other purposes not disclosed in their privacy statement. I’m not really sure about it, but it is quite possible.

It is interesting news. It’s a hell of a lot of money for a company that has been making very little in the way of cash (so I’ve heard). Adsense ads in feeds could be interesting. Would you mind so much if your blog was scraped if your ads appeared on the scraper’s page?
