Why It Is Important To Have Title Tags
So what are title tags? Title tags are the words/characters at the top of your browser. More about title tags.
Title tags are the first things people see when they search your site from search engines. A title tag that says “My Site Name” doesn’t tell your visitor anything about the post, driving their attention to a better title.
Have you seen the bare bones of Google? Some people use that version of Google, thus they do not see the contents and details of your post; only your title. (Google without ads is another version of Google. ;))
Are you asking, “How do i customize my titles in WordPress?”? There is the SEO Title Tag Plugin, where you download and activate to get customized titles. Optimal Title is basically the same thing, but moves your post title to the front of your post, your blog name after. This lets your visitors from search engines see the title and topic of the post before the name.

I use the SEO Title Tag on my blog too.
I have chosen to append the blog name to the post titles, because the blog name is the brand I am trying to build. I want it seen as much as possible.

I use SEO Title tag on my blog as well. I’m curious what everyone’s opinion is on whether the blog name should be appended to a post page’s title. I’ve seen bloggers comment supporting both including it and leaving it out but I haven’t seen anything that could be called definitive.

Title tags are definitely a must! I use the SEO title tag plugin that you mentioned. It works great! I have noticed more traffic from Google since installing it.
